Do you love eating butternut squash and apple and sipping hot soup for a warm breakfast? Why not make a soup that include these two as your ingredients? I’ve found Katie’s new recipe on How to Make Butternut Apple Soup posted in her blog ThisChickCooks worth to try.
Katie, who is dedicated to providing family-friendly recipes that use real, whole foods and follow a traditional foods lifestyle, shares that she made this soup out of necessity since she was moving from one place to another in Texas. So, she used what she had in her fridge. Her super ingredients are butter or lard, chopped onion, cube butternut squash, apple, chicken, ground nutmeg, salt and pepper.
She is proud to say that this would be a perfect soup served with grilled cheese, a salmon filet or even sprinkled with some bacon, toasted sourdough croutons, parmesan or even goat cheese.
