Combining wild rose water and honey will make a perfect soothing hand cream. This is what Tanya, the beauty behind LovelyGreens, had found out in her Wild Rose & Honey Hand Cream Recipe.
Tanya really loves to make wild rose water which is a great natural astringent that helps tighten the skin and reduces redness and inflammation. And now she effectively make use of her wild rose water and honey which was produced by her own bees, to make a wild rose and honey cream and keep her skin naturally moisturize and blemish-free.
According to Tanya…
Rose water is a wonderful liquid to use in your handmade creams since it’s a mild astringent sensitive enough for most skin types. Using it on your skin will help soothe inflammation and even skin tone – it also smells lovely.
You can buy true distilled rose water in health food stores, middle eastern shops and even in your favorite ordinary supermarkets. But if you have a lot of sources of fragrant roses, it’s better to make your own rose water. You can follow Tanya’s tutorial to make wild rose water here.
Aside from wild rose water and honey, Tanya use other ingredients that include sodium lactate, geogard ultra, sunflower oil, shea butter, rice bran oil, cocoa butter, emulsifying wax, Xantham gum, Vitamin E oil and have the option to add essential oils such as Rose Otto, Rose Geranium, and/or Ylang Ylang.
